The best way to keep up to date with Herne Bay Football Club

Supporters Association

The wait is nearly over!

The publication date for The History of Herne Bay Football Club, 1886/1887 – 2011/2012, The First 125 Years, researched, compiled and edited by Steve Barton, Ray Kelly and Doug Smith, moves ever closer and we would like to offer the opportunity for individuals and companies to become a part of this exciting project.

Our aim is for publication by the end of March 2016. The book will be professionally printed and bound by one of, if not the, leading printing company in Kent and consists of 260 A4 pages with over 120,000 words, nearly 1,000 photos and illustrations, with over 400 in full colour, which include over 70 team group photos and over 300 individual photos of players who have worn the blue and white of Herne Bay.

There has been tremendous interest in the book and it is sure to be popular with fans, players, management and officials (both past and present) and those with an interest in the history of local non-league football.

For £10 we will include a message, dedication or memory (up to 35 words), subject to editorial approval, that will be there for all who read the book to see. A chance for your name to be up there with the legends that have shaped the club over the first 125 years.

For companies we have a very special offer. There is a limited amount of advertising space available at between £100 and £250. Not only would your advert be included in every copy of the book but once the income from sales has exceeded expenditure then your contribution would be donated to Herne Bay Football Club’s designated charity for the season, the Alzheimer's Society. A win, win, win situation for everyone involved.
